Is the bug only on specifically 2-player games? Or any multiplayer game?

Would it still be hypothetically possible to complete fossil set 4 through “wildcards” alone even though none of those mini wizard modes are implemented yet?

Played a few games recently, and every time I got into the smart missile, the truck was blocking the shot. I aborted, and hit the truck. This moves the lit inlane to the right side (for spinner). Then if I hit the truck again, the lit inlane moves back to the left (for smart missile), but now the truck is blocking the shot again.

I got into this endless loop three or four times and was never able to escape it. I thought the point of abort was to allow you to set up an open smart missile shot, but it wasn’t possible for me. Am I missing something?

You could begin Smart Missile, hit the truck, and still have a small amount of time to hit the Smart Missile target.

The left inlane is only lit for smart missile when the truck is facing left (and hence partially blocking the shot) so it’s intentionally set up to force you to shoot with the truck in the more difficult position. You can get around this by shatzing or by activating the smart missile during multiball where you have other loose balls you can use to move the truck, but note that it’s still totally possible to hit the target even when the truck is facing left.

Aborting is only really useful if you want to save the smart missile (e.g. maybe you’re about to finish the velociraptor paddock and want to wait until you do before you shoot for the instant raptor MB smart missile award). Aborting could also be a good choice if you’re set up for a juicy super spinner (since activating smart missiles takes super spinner off the board).

Gotcha. I thought I heard/read somewhere that abort was there to give you the option to make it easier. I guess not.

How would this help? If Smart Missile is lit, truck will be in the more difficult position, regardless of which direction the ball fed into the left inlane.

If you have a clean shatz where the ball pops out the top of the inlane you’d have time to move the truck while the smart missile countdown is going. It’d be quite a sight to see someone attempt this while also lining up their desired award with the action button~ This is also assuming that you get a friendly feed from the truck hit so you can recover the ball and take the shot. In practice I’m not sure how feasible of a strategy it really is.

I’ll file that under “it’s not a bug, it’s a feature”. :wink:

installed .90 on Friday. Today we noticed the control room bug while playing 3 and 4 player games. Another thing we’ve noticed is a drastic increase in tilt sensitivity. Has anyone else noticed this? The tilt bob is fairly loose. Top of bob is just about flush with the sensor ring. I had debounce set to 1150 previously and it seemed fair. Now very minor nudges are tilting, sometimes even tilting through players with ghost like tilts. One happened a full 20 seconds after anyone had touched the game, while nobody was touching it. I cranked the debounce to the max of 1500 and its not helping. It was not this sensitive prior to the .90 update.

Weird. I haven’t noticed this. And you’ve already checked the debounce adjustment.

Super minor bug - if you manage to score a Replay by shooting the left ramp when it’s lit for Advance Paddock, the post doesn’t grab the ball and the information for the Paddock isn’t displayed because of the Replay animation. This caused me to lose a ball lol.

Reading Keith’s Infographics of the Fossils, only had one question…does Feed T-Rex Count as a T-Rex event? Or does that fossil refer to first T-Rex Event after Feed T-Rex Multiball ? (Whichever One It Is)

I saw a game that Jack Danger played where his score went from 1.8 billion to over 3 billion with the help of Amber Slings @ 12 million a sling x 2 from 2x playfield. I haven’t really played the 0.90 code yet but I gotta wonder if Amber Slings/Pops is way disproportionately more valuable than, say, Amber Combos/Ramps - particularly in a super-late-game scenario like that.

Amber Pops got me 93 million when I had the value jacked high enough…

That’s why in tourney mode they go in a certain order. Nothing is really score balanced yet anyways until the wiz modes go in. I will certainly take the timer pauses out for amber modes.
