Finally had a good game where I was able to really dig in on fossils and man itās a ton of fun when all those late game wildcard fossils start dropping. Was able to complete the first 3 columns in the box and each column award feels substantial and satisfying. Doubt Iād be able to pull off a full box on the current code so Iām anxiously awaiting the mini wizard modes!
Is there an alternate award for column 3 if EBs are disabled? It would be nice if it gave you something more substantial than standard EB points considering how much work it takes to get there.
Iāve been wondering about how Wildcard fossils work if collected before the associated normal Fossil collect-
Letās say I complete T-Rex mode 1 (Claiming The Brachiosaurus Fossil). Then somehow I collect a Wildcard fossil through the Smart Missile (if that is possible before starting Raptor Tri-Ball)ā¦thus completing Set 1ā¦ I then start Raptor Tri-Ball and collect a Super Jackpotā¦is that then moot or does it spot anpther Fossil ?
Collecting the Wildcard Fossil isnāt possible unless youāve started Raptor Tri-Ball off of the Smart Missile. So, no.
I want to say that if the associated fossil has already been awarded, itāll act as a Wildcard Fossil for all I know.
There is strategy in using the wildcard fossils as if they fill in an easier fossil then you are screwing yourself. I always try to to raptor super jackpot as early as I can so I donāt waste that fossil slot on a wild card since you can play raptor multiple times. With the modes if you miss that fossil then the only way to get that associated fossil is with the wild card since you canāt replay modes.

Which modes canāt you replay? I assume in upcoming code you can play control room modes again?
On the current code you can go through the T-Rex modes again, but the Control Room modes seem to be one chance only.
final code no modes will be replayable. Spelling T-rex will begin feed but will be set to 2 turns per letter.

This game is so great and force you to concentrate on shots, after playing JP, playing a game of Star Wars was like being in the Matrix, I was on fire and hitting shots without thinking, total zen feelā¦JP will make you a better player, Iām convincedā¦a real shooters pinā¦Best ever IMHO

Are T-Rex modes always in the same order?
Would it not be easier to select the smart missile with flippers instead of the button? It doesnāt feel very intuitive not knowing what the heck you are selecting next and feeling really rushed to do so.

My take on it is to do a 5 second countdown instead of 3.
Smart missle can be started during MB, so canāt do that. Another second or two would be nice. You pretty much only get one chance to get it right now.
There are other games, maybe Star Wars?, where the act of scrolling through modes pauses the timer. Would be nice to have here with the Smart Missile, that way people who donāt know/care/understand will get back to gameplay right away, while those who start going through the selection process get a little bit of extra time.
The shot itself is hard enough, Iām not that rushing the choices is really necessary. It feels like Indy 500 right now.
I donāt think you can scroll during MB on SW. Also, I donāt think Keith is a big fan of ball stoppages. Iād settle for another second or so to select.
After posting earlier, I played and nailed a raptor MB and an EB back to back from smart missle. Also had one shot that made it clean past the truck and the lower two pops, but didnāt quite kiss the target hard enough to count. As close as you can get. I had mostly given up on smart missle before the recent changes. Shot for chaos letters or rescues instead. Now Iām cashing at a pretty good clip, despite the short decision time.
