SCS brackets/streams/updates

Factoid of the day:

8 out of 10 CA provinces will have an NACS championship.
49 out of 50 US states will have an NACS championship. (50 out of 51 when you count D.C.)

Well done, everybody.

BUT … since the listing shows only paying out the top 50 places, a handful of people get zilch. I’d suggest expanding the “17th to 50th” to “17th and below” for $200 or whatever the minimum payout is, provided you do actually attend the Nationals.

The wording on the site says that’s just based on 50 participants. I’m sure no one who shows up is getting left out of the prize pool.

How does it work for states like Montana with one 2019 event, or South Dakota with zero (!) rated players, where everyone’s points for the year are zero?

Now when was my Wyoming trip going to be this year?? :grinning:

That’s NOT correct. The site pulls in event data from all states, but unless there’s a State Rep set up to handle the logistics of the State Championship, it’s not happening.

I show 46 states . . . no to Montana, Hawaii and South Dakota.

:frowning:

or Alaska

Haha at least Alaska didn’t actually have any IFPA sanctioned tournament activity. I’d be pretty shocked if they snuck a State Championship in without that part

One reason why I think Delaware has become a hotbed for pinball is the fact that First State Flippers donates over $500 to the winner of the SCS to help offset expenses to get to Nationals.

Anyone know why Pennsylvania is showing zero players with only 24 hours to go?

Should 1st have an cash choice??
May be better for some with taxes and can be maybe less then 2th place $$$ if the over all pot gets very high.

Now I am curious, we are passed the deadline and it still show some states missing players? PA only has 19/24 and Hawaii, Montana and South Dakota has 0…

Is PA not going to fill the 24?

Players have to respond by the deadline. I don’t expect all the State Reps to have updated their records by the deadline.

I’m sure Doug is a little busy with PAPA TV Live that he’ll get things updated when he gets the chance.

The other states you mentioned have no State Championship.

Delaware bracket below. Also, First State Flippers is donating $744 to the NACS winner this year to cover expenses to Colorado.
