Game of Thrones Pinball Rulesheet

What I have been trying for the past couple weeks is see how high I could get my four WIC hurry ups that I collected to start WHC. I’ve gotten that total to over 350 million. But when in WHC, I feel like the SJP I got was only 100-150 million base value. Hmm. Very hard to tell as that mode is timed and nuts the whole time.

Could benefit from some clear audible cues to know when you’ve gotten past the first level and reached boss. Also maybe change the insert colors for the level you’re in.

It’s also hard to tell when you’ve collected the SJP as it is simply the third shot made, if quick enough, in Boss mode. Maybe after hitting the third shot in Boss have a roving SJP shot or just one shot lit on the playfield for a short period of time that you can collect.

Uh, is there anything in GoT’s scoring which can explain getting a score which is not divisible by 10? A player on our location just sent me a picture of a score of 82,822,895. It sure makes getting a match pretty difficult.

The pin’s CPU was “in its cups.” :grinning:

I think it’s an upper playfield Targaryen quirk (premium/LE). You can add about 10% of the hurry-up value, but apparently that 10% doesn’t round to the 10s.

The player could confirm that Targaryen was involved in the game in question, so this seems likely. Thanks!

So, again, I only play this game a few times a month for the Chicago selfie league. It seems to me the “perfect” HOTK setup is Lannister, Greyjoy, Targaryen(!), and Tyrell. I actually managed to set this up during finals (playing as Martell), and proceeded to make 9 shots (4 shots, ram, 4 shots). Wah wahhhhhhhh

Is that the golden setup? Or do people actually like using Stark? Obviously for most games, Stark probably comes into play instead of Targaryen.

I made way way WAY more points doing spinner-all-day (and got a Wall as well) with the spinner eventually being worth over 2.2M/spin waiting to drain since I lit HOTK on ball 1.

Stark lost it’s luster after the latest update

Considering for us mortals Targaryen is difficult to complete on a regular basis, I would replace that with Baratheon. Yes it requires more shots to get through each round to reach the hurry up, but much easier to get to HOTK in the first place. So it’s 15 shots instead of 9, but with Martell power that shouldn’t be all that much more difficult.

The HOTK hurryups I’ve collected on 1.29 code have roughly been about 300-400m, disregarding playfield X (although I’ve usually had at least 2x).

The Stark round offers repeated, safe shots capping at 30m, again disregarding playfield X.

I would almost imagine that a very well played Stark round might offer just about as much points as a hurryup, is easier to reach, and safer (assuming you trap all but 1 ball on the left). This is probably just me trying to rationalize why some of the “bad” or less desirable Houses aren’t really all that bad, since they offer more scoring opportunities that would mitigate otherwise uneventful HOTKs.

I had to go to the readme to figure out what you were talking about. I assume it’s this:

Hand of the King - Stark’s Bonus Round values were being reset wrong after the Super Jackpot Hurry state.

I don’t even think I’ve completed a full round of HOTK yet, so didn’t even know about that one.

Relevant video of HotK game breaking.

You didn’t even have to finish HOTK. I got unlimited 3B+ jackpots during the Stark phase more than once (usually less). Cradle up on the left flipper, loop the left ramp for huge points.

Read somewhere that cycling power ‘fixed’ it. I hope someone saved that version somewhere as it was very fun. I’d vote it the best bug of this decade so far.

You can still get decent points out of HOTK Stark round, even with the bug fix. In HOTK during qualifying at Belgian Pinball Open, I looped around 8 of the left ramp at approx 140M per shot (combo multiplied value, no PFx) during the Stark free shooting. It happens immediately after the 4 shots + 1 ram shot.

The problem with that video which makes things confusing is the “inherited house” bug was in effect so I had to complete each shot twice even though I didn’t bring Martel in. The upside of Stark- use the hurry-up cock block time to build up playfield X. The down side is the 20 second hurry-up cock block itself

I don’t think I have ever carried Targaryen into HOTK. What attribute does it give to HOTK?

Adds 750K/shot.

It’s more useful in that it’s not a penalty, but may possibly be most useful with Stark because value increase for 8-12 shots/cycle doesn’t seem terribly worth the effort it takes to get it. Others’ opinions may vary? I guess that number could go up to 52 if you have 3 sets, 2 shots/set, and all 7 shots instead of 4, though (Martell and Baratheon, no Greyjoy).

After some pretty intense City Champs GOT games last week, I was wondering how was the Black Water MB Super jackpot value set?
Is it a kind of XXM base value + jackpot value or…?

Detailed in the first post.

I’m sure some already know but didn’t see it here. There is a SJP bug in which if you select 1x or 2x SJP from mystery and then start BWMB you will have SJPs lit for the whole MB. So always choose SJP in mystery if there’s an option.

Would suck to lose to this happening in a comp though. Haha

That’s the first I’ve heard of it. I suggest sending an email to Dwight!
