Comp mode should be the same.
Now for randomly generated does the game have the cpu power for that?
Do you want your pinball game to stop with an LOADING screen mid game?
generating the numbers for that should take about a millisecond at most. Itās not drawing or rendering anything, itās just picking a handful of random numbers (or generating them from a seed or whatever). absolutely trivial, CPU-wise.
Hey all. I am on location today playing an LE. As far as I can tell, the above quote is the default condition for any dragon multiball letters in walkup āStandard modeā (with no login) and competition mode with or without login. The dragonborn class does not seem to get any advantage in spotting letters in competition mode
Notably, playing logged in with progress as a level 12 dragonborn, it DOES maintain letter progress between balls. With this i was able to start a LEVEL FIVE dragon multiball which was 8 lives requiring 14 hits ok the dragon to win (i did not
).
There was a note in the 0.91 code released yesterday about fixing a bug related to not being able to start Dragon Multiball:
- Fixed High level Characters not able to start Dragon Multiball.
well itās two weeks later and the code still absolutely sucks.
itās completely ruined.
even when not logged in, Dragon Multiball is not going to happen for 95% of players. Youāre spotted no letters at the beginning of the game. it takes three hits to advance a single letter. letters reset at end of ball.
this is with level 1 character.
stupid.
worthless.
for all intents and purposes, they removed the best feature in the game for no reason.
i honestly cannot fathom what the point is to this moronic, stupid change.
what a disaster and an embarassment.
Fixed as of 0.92 code. Trust me, I was frustrated too.
Fantastic news! Thanks!
I have a Premium game and have some gameplay questions:
1/ Do healing potions persist between balls? Between games?
2/ What is the maximum character level, and where can I find the stats?
3/ Has anyone posted an equipment list anywhere?
4/ It seems as if my equipment is getting over-written by whatever Iāve found most recently - is that true and intentional? Iād like to be able to create a build but this makes it difficult.
5/ Iāve scored over 500m, and some dungeons just seem to be too long, especially due to side drains that I donāt think are very controllable (tilt at most)⦠is killing the Lich even plausible with a good character, or does it just require a big pile of quarters and a lucky pass?
Thanks all!
Welcome to the forum, SheaK!
- Healing potion functionality is currently incomplete but they can be used in a few town dungeons when nothing else is going on. Namely, the town dungeons for Greenest, Kobold Town, and Dragonspear Castle allow for healing potion use. They persist across balls but only persist across games if youāre signed in.
- The maximum character level is level 20. You can view your stats at the start of the game when you browse through your characters, and if you have an Insider Connected account, you can view them there too: click on the D&D backglass, then the trophy icon, then āprogressā to view your current character levels and stats.
- No equipment list, but this guide has info about what each modifier for equipment does. The four types of equipment are sword, armor, bow & arrow, and shield.
- This is correct. The priority of equipment is legendary (scored from finding treasure rooms in dungeons) > artifact (from completing level 3 missions) > everything else.
- Playing this game for score or for progression are two very different things. Dungeons like the Lich battle you mentioned are meant for progression only and score very little on their own; if youāre playing for score, I suggest focusing exclusively on tavern brawl, playing dragon multiball, gelatinous cube multiball, and dungeon crawl in the process of lighting it. As for killing the Lich: the first part of the battle with the trolls is definitely the toughest, but you can always use your ranged weapons, and the game will help guide you into setting up traps for big damage by shooting the yellow shots and then the orange target. Iāve been able to consistently get through the rest of the mode so long as I defeat the trolls as quickly as possible.
Much thanks - this is very helpful! If I were to have an artifact on, and buy something from Fizmo, is that artifact lost āforeverā (i.e. until full progress reset)?
The progress area on IC does have a list of trinkets, and apparently the same trinkets apply to all characters (limit 12). Ideally Iād like for there to be a way to get rid of the ones I donāt want at some point. Do they overwrite like gear once you have 12, can you get rid of some, or are you simply blocked from purchasing more? Has anyone gotten that far yet? Iām 2/12 and might use rogue to stock them up. (Progression now, points later )
No, artifacts stay until the campaign is completed.
0.94 added an option to remove trinkets btw.
Thanks for the heads-up! That changes a lot - over time you could dial-in what you wanted from the RNG. It also appears there is a ā9999ā gold limit per party, but I canāt be sure if thatās just a display limit or an inventory limit⦠needs further testing. Iām working more on modding the machine these days (topper, lights, still looking for a mimic).
Also big: As of 0.94 you no longer need to leave town or start an adventure / dungeon. This is very helpful for those trying to hit Fizmo, dragon, or a tavern run.
