As part of closing down TiltForums, I promised a new home for the rulesheets and I am ready to open that up for comment. It is called Pinball Rulesheets and lives at https://pinballrulesheets.com.
As I have stated before, the rulesheets will be hosted on Github, with the site being generated via Github Pages. If you are interested in contributing to the rulesheets, there are instructions there about requesting access and some basic instructions on how to edit the rulesheets on Github. I realize this is not going to be as straightforward as it has been here, but I am confident that once people get used to it you’ll be fine.
The site as it exists now is a sandbox that is still in testing mode, so things can and will be changing. The good part of that is that if you want to try things ut and screw things up its not big deal! The final export from here to there will happen just before the September 1 closing date.
Let me know if you have any questions or problems!
Just wanted to make note that this repository is currently a testing sandbox, and any changes made there ill be replaced when the final migration happens on 9/1. Feel free to play around and experiment but know anything you do will eventually be overwritten.
I know the forum is going away, but I just created this account to ask this question (thank you btw!)
Greg, I’m aware you said the new site is experimental and all content will be replaced, but I’ve noticed quite a few issues in the HTML code in the new site. So, I was wondering if those HTML glitches will be addressed on the final transfer or is there a chance that they will still be there? I’ll be happy to help cleaning those up if the latter. Mainly, I just wanted to let you know.
One of the things I’ve discovered is that Github Page’s version of markdown will not render a table unless it has a blank line between the table and the text above it.
