The original Trident scoring rules still apply during normal play.

Right inlane ball save

The right inlane will flash the extra ball lamp for a 6-second ball save once per ball. The ball save is called “Rescue from the Deep”. Ball save length can be configured or disabled in settings.

Extra ball

Light the extra ball by completing all standups.

Collect the extra ball on the right inlane. The extra ball can be set to award points from 0 to 100 K rather than shoot again. If extra balls are set to points, the high score award levels that would normally trigger an extra ball do not award points instead.

Skill Shot

At the start of the ball hit one of the following switches as the first switch to achieve a skill shot:

  • Saucer - A roving value from 5 K to 30 K
  • Drop target - 10 K and 2x bonus multiplier
  • Stand up target - 15 K
  • Left spinner - 10 K
  • Rollover - 8 K and advances left lane to 6 K

Modes

Make progress on the main playfield features to qualify modes. After qualifying a mode, the center saucer will be lit for mode start for 45 seconds. Multiple modes can be qualified at the same time. Starting more than one mode at once will increase scoring and mode time.

Feeding Frenzy (spinners)

Qualify Feeding Frenzy by hitting alternating spinners 4 times. If more than 30 seconds pass between hits to either of the spinners, then Feeding Frenzy progress resets.

Once qualified, start Feeding Frenzy at the saucer.

During Feeding Frenzy spinners score 5 K per spin. Plus an additional 1 K in mode bonus if the mode timer completes with the ball still in play.

Sharp Shooter (drops)

Qualify Sharp Shooter by clearing the drops for 3x bonus multiplier.

Once qualified, start Sharp Shooter at the saucer.

During Sharp Shooter drops score 2 K each. Plus an additional 2.5 K in mode bonus if the mode timer completes with the ball still in play.

Explore the Depths (stand ups)

Qualify Explore the Depths by hitting all standups once.

Once qualified, start Explore the Depths at the saucer.

During Explore the Depths standups score 10 K each. Plus an additional 2.5 K in mode bonus if the mode timer completes with the ball still in play.

Deep Blue Sea (wizard mode)

Qualify Deep Blue Sea by starting each other mode and completing at least one objective from each mode (one spin, one drop, one standup). Deep Blue Sea starts when the mode timer on the main mode expires.

Deep Blue Sea has a 110 second mode timer.

During Deep Blue Sea all shots are lit for 3x scoring and starts with the jackpot qualified at the saucer. After collecting a jackpot, complete at least one spin, one drop, and one standup to requalify jackpot.

Jackpot value is 1 K per spin + 10 K per drop target + 10 K per standup based one the counts since the previous jackpot collect.
