All playoff finalists for THE BEAST Main, Classics and Women’s receive cash prizes based on their finishing position. Additional prizes are given to the top 4 from their respective tournament sponsors. Final payouts are determined by their tournament’s prize pools based on paid entries, which will be updated in real time on Never Drains software on Day 2. There will also be random prize draws throughout THE BEAST.

What’s “Centaur 2”?

Bally made too many Rapid Fire cabinets so they re-ran two earlier games and put them in Rapid Fire cabinets. Eight Ball Deluxe LE & Centaur II. Same gameplay as far as I know.

102 players paid (so far). More registered…still time to join!

Some of the trophies/plaques from ULEK Store for THE BEAST.

That artwork is the best!

Christopher Franchi was hired to make poster/logo design. Love it, too!

Will all other non-tournament games be available for play during the event?

Hi there. There are a lot of modern games on coin-drop not in THE BEAST. Those will be available, Fri-Sunday. These are the ones being used for the Thursday night warm-up event (6-11pm).

Note: Dragonfist has replaced Count-down in Classics.

Will Pocketeer be open to the public this weekend?

There are coin-drop games available to the public on Friday/Saturday. Thursday night we are using those for the Warm-up event, while the tourney machines will not be in use (being prepped).

Just want to thank @PinballProfile and your team for pulling off a great event! If I didn’t know this was your first year I wouldn’t have been able to tell. Everything was thoughtfully planned and ran smoothly. Techs were responsive, TDs made proper rulings, nice variety of well set up games, registration and entries were fairly priced and the prize pool was transparent and handled properly. What more can you really ask for?

Sometimes it seems like if there wasn’t some kind of outrage then no one is talking about an event afterward, so I just wanted to boost this thread with a positive review!

Thanks John. And to all the players, Pocketeer Billiards staff, volunteers, scorekeepers, TD’s, tech’s, streamers, sponsors and people who stepped in. It’s takes a LOT of people to make a tourney run smoothly, and that was the case.

Glad to have 100% of entries in the prize pool. $15,000 in cash/prizes for Main, including $3000 for winner Jason Zahler. $10,000 in cash/prizes for Classics, including $2000 for winner @raydaypinball. $3000 in cash/prizes for Women’s including $650 for winner Polly Vernon.

Already have a list of 25 things (some big, some small) for the 2024 edition of THE BEAST, Aug. 1-4.

Thanks again.
