Did you try a different HDMI cable? Pretty much all the blackouts or interference issues I’ve had has been from a poor quality HDMI cable (or a very long HDMI Cable) and routing it through the top of the machine - I have the new board on my turtles and it works without any problems.
Thanks for sharing the info on the new board and splitter though I’ve ordered a couple to test them out.
Is there a way to define high quality for cables? I have no idea which are good, which are crap. I always assume I am either getting cheap crap, or expensive crap.
Anything from Monoprice is going to be of pretty solid quality. I’d go for the highest bandwidth rated cable you can find on their site that meets the length you need.
You won’t likely find “8k certified” (hdmi 2.1) cables at that length simply because the spec really only expects passive cables up to 5 meters or so.
Ok just got the splitter to work - I had to change the cable that came with the splitter board not sure if that’s a one off or if it’s wired up wrongly - I used a cable from the geekworm hdmi board instead.
So in short it’s as you’d expect cable out of the LVDS port into the splitter board.
Stern monitor cable one pin over
And cable to hdmi board plugged in as it should and boom rock and roll (oh and led zep is an epic game btw!). Please stern can we have the official device!
For those interested Geekworm’s own website has the V20 LVDS to HDMI board that doesn’t need the splitter I’ve ordered from them directly and will see if they turn up. geekworm.com
Hi Neil, were you ever able to figure out how to extend the ColorDMD to HDMI out? Currently looking on how to direct capture one and wasn’t sure if there was a solution discovered.
