Updating this with some new additions since my last post.

Also, we have a new league in the area! The Gentleperson’s Pinball Society is a friendly, low-stress pinball league that welcomes players of all skill levels, but is specifically focused on novice and beginner players. They meet on Wednesday evenings at Hi-Life Pizza in downtown Oakland. This Wednesday will be the third meeting of their first season, and they still have a few spaces left before they hit their membership cap.

Is the beginners league worth wppr points? We have been thinking of doing something like that here but specifically making it not worth points so that it doesn’t attract everyone else.

No WPPRs for the novice league, for exactly that reason. Anyone is welcome to join, but experienced players are expected to take on more of a teaching role during league play. I haven’t been able to make it to a meeting yet (hoping to get there this week), but it seems like they’ve had a lot of success so far, people are really enjoying it.

It’s going to be super awesome! I did it last year for Belles & Chimes and we had so much fun. Will you be able to make it?

Barring any sore throats/head colds I will be there

DO IT GENE!

Yes, do it Gene! The Haight would be the logical place to host. Is there any venue for pinball around there?

Will everyone play the same amount of egg matches or could players play a different amount based on eggs you find?

Everyone will collect the same number of eggs. I’ll get the details written up and online in the next day or so.

Okay, Easter tournament details are up on Hella Heart Pinball now! Pre-registration is required, players can sign up here.
