Along this line, it’d be /really/ cool if there was some simple flipper code that would bring up a screen with not just the version, but also a list of any non-default gameplay settings.
If experienced players are just going to power cycle the games to check anyway, what’s the harm with displaying it in the attract mode?

As this thread suggests, not all players are comfortable cycling power and some operators would prefer you didn’t. Thankfully most games with prehistoric code are in locations where no one will notice if you cycle power.
