At league, one of the players mentioned that he is better at tap passing with fingerless gloves. This got me thinking that the padding on the palms, or something like special ring finger padding could be designed the help with staged flipping. Thoughts?

Gloves with Adjustable spacers (two spacers, straddling the button) on the index and ring finger. Set the index finger spacer for a tap pass (spacers would prevent pressing more than 1mm, for example). Set the ring finger spacer for staging the flippers (holding your finger over it, spacers on the cabinet, would prevent button from being fully released, holding it stable at stage), and then use your middle finger for full flips.
