Beat me to the punch on my own tournament;)

A few other vital pieces of info:

  • Spots are limited so register before it is too late!
  • To register, send me an email with your intention to attend at:
    silverballshowdown@gmail.com
    -Registration fee is $60 to be paid at check-in. The facility’s machines will be on coin-drop so please factor that in.
  • A tentative game list will be posted 1-2 weeks prior to the event
  • All entry fees minus trophy cost and IFPA/Circuit fees will be returned to the prize pool
  • I cannot guarantee that we will not have another tornado like in 2017;)

Hello friends. First let me say that your interest in and support of the Silverball Showdown is greatly appreciated. As everyone is all too aware, the COVID-19 outbreak has been impacting all aspects of society, across the nation. Oklahoma is no exception. Unfortunately, the trajectory of the epidemic continues to climb and expecting a reprieve by mid-May is unrealistic. I have made the disappointing but increasingly inevitable decision to postpone the event, which I’m certain will surprise no one.

As a pulmonologist/critical care physician I have had the dutiful opportunity to see the impact of this epidemic up close (too close;) ) I feel that I have a strong duty/obligation to protect all of you (and thus your families/contacts) from unnecessary exposure risk. And I certainly don’t want to have to see any of you at my day job;)

As to when the Showdown will be rescheduled, I am adopting a wait-and-see approach, as I do not relish the thought of having to postpone again. The duration of the isolation and containment measures is unknown. At this point the facility remains closed and the IFPA is not endorsing tournaments and no timeline has been established for resuming normal activities.

When the time comes to reschedule I will email all of you and give you the opportunity to reserve your spot.
