Is there any reason to think the “executive team” doesn’t get any compensation? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it said that IFPA is a for profit endeavor - there is advertising money, mailing list money, etc. There isn’t any transparency to what money comes in and goes out (and doesn’t need to be), other than Josh saying it’s not actually making money, but there’s nothing to stop him from taking a cut now or tomorrow or next year.
