We are getting close to opening up tickets sales to the masses for YEGPIN: 2019 Edmonton Pinball and Arcade Expo. This year’s show is in a brand new location Millennium Place in Sherwood Park. The dates will be April 26 - 28, 2019. This is our 4th year and it’s one of the biggest and best shows in Canada!!! We now have space to have over 200 pinball and arcade games in the new facility.

We are now ready to announce the ticket packages that will be available for purchase on December 15, 2018 @ noon MST and the tournaments we are hosting at the event.

All VIP passes (Ultimate/VIP) will be limited to 125 orders in total. Sorry that is the maximum we can sell as our tournaments and VIP party can only handle so many people.

Please note only Ultimate VIP, VIP and Weekend Passes will be available for pre-sale this year. No shirts, no posters, no other items will be for sale on our website, you will need to get those items directly at the show. This helps in streamlining our registration services and get you in the door even quicker than last year.

Lets talk about our pinball tournaments as that seems to be a big draw for a lot of people that attend the show. This year we have, count them, 5 pinball tournaments slated for the event, four of which are IFPA sanctioned, crazy stuff eh!!! We plan on streaming both the Classics and the Canadian Pinball Championships like we did last year. There will be plenty of opportunity to watch all the action as we are three sections of stands that will be brought into the tournament area and playing to put in a big screen and two tv’s near the stands as well to catch all the action.

Note: The CPC and Classics tournaments will more than likely be capped if all VIP passes sell out so don’t hesitate to purchase one so you don’t miss out in participating in these tournaments. (Once we collect all volunteer information we will know if there will be walk in registration at the show).

  1. YEGPIN - Canadian Pinball Championships

This IFPA sanctioned tournament is the one of the biggest and best tournaments held in Canada. The tournament is for all skill ranges as it has 4 separate division of play (Main, B, Novice, Women’s) for the playoff rounds. There will be a total of 12 machines in the bank this year, 4 LCD/Modern, 4 Mid-Modern, 4 Late Solid State. The tournament will be using a HERB style (best score format) with unlimited qualifying attempts using PAPA position/rank scoring (1st 200, 2nd 190, 3rd 189, 188, 187 …). The tournament will have a maximum registration of 200 players (including volunteers).

Friday: Noon – 9:30pm (ticket sales will end at 9:00pm)
Saturday: 10am – 9:30pm (volunteer qualifying only from 8:30pm - 9:30pm)
Note: VIP ticket holders will have an extra hour in the morning for qualification.

Playoff Hours:
Sunday: 9:00am - 3:30pm

  1. YEGPIN - Classics Pinball Tournament

This IFPA sanctioned tournament is for those that like to play old school, we got a tournament for you. There will be a total of 8 machines in the bank this year, 5 Early Solid State, 3 EMs. The tournament will be using a HERB style (best score format) with unlimited qualifying attempts using PAPA position/rank scoring (1st 200, 2nd 190, 3rd 189, 188, 187 …)The tournament will have a maximum registration of 200 players (including volunteers).

Friday: Noon – 9:30pm (ticket sales will end at 9:00pm)
Saturday: 10am – 5:00pm (volunteer qualifying only from 4:00pm - 5:00pm)
Note: VIP ticket holders will have an extra hour in the morning for qualification.

Playoff Hours:
Saturday: 5:30pm – 9:30pm

  1. YEGPIN - Pro Pinball Tournament - NEW!!!

This IFPA sanctioned tournament is for those who have deep pockets, it is a PAPA 4 machine card format, unlimited entries, 1 LCD/Modern, 1 Mid Modern, 1 Late Solid State, 1 Early Solid State. The tournament will have a maximum of 80 players, registration will be at the tournament desk for this event (first come, first served). YEGPIN is starting the pot at $1000, all other monies contributed will add to the playoff pot for the top 8 finishers, top 4 if less than 41 competitors.

Friday: Noon – 9:30pm (ticket sales will end at 8:30pm),
Note: VIP ticket holders will have an extra hour in the morning for qualification.

Playoff Hours:
Saturday: 9:30am – 12:30pm

  1. YEGPIN - Knockout Cancer Pinball Tournament

This IFPA sanctioned tournament is for those that want to give back to the community. So many of us have lost friends and family to Cancer so this is a small way we can give back. A fun filled strike knockout tournament that will be held on the first night of YEGPIN. The tournament will have a maximum of 80 players. Registration will be at the tournament desk for this event.

Cost:

$25 entry per person, all proceeds go to a charity of YEGPIN’s choice.

Friday: 5:30pm – 9:30pm

  1. YEGPIN - Little Flippin Pinball Tournament

Last but not least is our popular 12 and under kids tournament where we continue our efforts as a grass root level to promote competition pinball. There will be 2 machines this year since this event has become so popular. The top 2 from each qualifying session, will play in the Kids finals on the big bank on Sunday with all of the other competitors. It will be an awesome competition pinball experience for all of these kids to have!!!

  • In order to participate in the Canadian Pinball Championships or Classic Pinball Tournament you must purchase a Ultimate VIP or VIP pass for the event.
  • Tickets are limited to 125, sorry with volunteers we don’t want this tournament going over 200 people it will just be unmanageable.
  • The prize money and prizing combined for both of these tournaments will be over $20,000.
  • Last year 146 competitors from all of Western Canada, Ontario and Washington participated in the event.
  • The event is live streamed for both tournaments so you will be able to watch all the action as it unfolds.

Tickets sales are going strong for YEGPIN 2019, there are only 18 VIP tickets left for the event, we are 85% sold. So if you plan on playing in our major pinball tournaments I suggest you purchase your VIP ticket soon as we won’t be adding anymore tickets once sold out or the deadline passes on Feb 28, 2019. There is no walk up registration for the Canadian Pinball Championship or Classic Tournament the only way to get in is through a VIP pass.

So far 150 people registered for the tournament, don’t miss out on an awesome time!!!

will any of the tournament machines be using custom tournament code?

No specific tournament code as far as I know. But all will be adjusted for tournament mode where applicable, as well there will be adjustments made in setting for certain features (lowering multiball ball saves) or physical adjustments (lightning flippers, advanced Outlanes, etc) to machines will be made. The software changes will be listed in DTM or on machine.

For those of you that are entered in any of YEGPIN’s pinball tournaments, Drains Tournament Manager will be used for all of our tournaments this year. The exception will be the Knockout Cancer Pinball Tournament which will use match play software. Please ensure you check the player list in DTM if you are missing then you will want to send those inquiries to executive@yegpin.com. Please note you must have purchased a UVIP, VIP pass, volunteered for the event or donated a machine to be granted entry into the tournaments.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that Stern lectronamo has been added to the Classics bank we will determine if one is removed or not today or tomorrow just wanted to give a heads up that it is officially in lineup.
