Absolutely. Tournaments make even mundane games fun if there is that “Do the thing” aspect of it. EX: Aztec you really want to get that center lane to light the spinner then it is spinner all day and ignore everything else which would get boring in a non competetive environment. Most of the EMs I own are wedge and reverse wedgehead 2" flipper games simply because they are impossible to master.

About aztec, the same could be said about Amigo and 8-ball.
That frrrrrr sound (and/or shimesound) is soo nice to hear then a 1000 point spinner is hit over and over again.

I am shocked so many people are Volley boosters. At a C and B level, the game often hinges off your initial plunges.
Royal Flush has a similar, though reduced, effect.
I prefer games where the skill shot is nice, but the flips matter most.

I was going to say Sinbad as well, but it’s a SS game! Eye Of The Tiger is EM, but so limited that you’d probably not see it in a tournament often.

Everyone, please please please include Sinbad in your tournaments. It’s one of my favourite competition games. IT IS THE SNOOKER OF PINBALL.

I absolutely detest

Aerobatics &
Aladdins Castle -mainly due to always forgetting that you can’t really attempt live catches with scissor flippers, the only way I can counter this is to completely ignore the right flipper button
