I can get what I need from that link. Thank you!
I noticed something weird on the PAPA 20 results. The points totals on the main page do not line up with the points totals on an individuals results page. For example: Adam L shows 312 pts. on his page but on the main results page he has 454 pts.
I don’t dispute the results at all, just something weird going on with the points.
Yeah, I think there are many issues with how those results are deployed there, but I will build clean results from the player pages, so all will be well in the universe.
Would this help?
speed of light in a vacuum and josh not winning a major, two strongest constant in the universe i am guessing!
Thanks, Corey. That did help. PAPA 20 has been added to the universe, although note that the “Played” column for all players at PAPA 20 will be “1” because I don’t have the raw data - only everyone’s “best” score. It’s always fun to look back and see how many times it took to achieve a “best” score, but that information is not available for this tournament.
For speed references, I prefer “What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow?”
Didn’t John also get top score on WCS one year by shooting nothing but goals over and over? He had found just the right spot on the flipper to hit the rollovers and score goals repeatedly. It was crazy.
“African, or European?” LOL
82 goals.
Awesome. With that play, that is a bonus you do not want to tilt away. The goals and Ultra goalie points too.
That is AWESOME
PAPA20: qualifying positions are wrong for some players. Tiebreaker was game 7 for the same total - f.e. Robert and me tied on position 10. John and Trent tied on position 15. I remember it exactly, because I had the best game 7 (8 and 9) from all players.
Thanks for the heads up, but I’m not too concerned with ties in qualifying because the finals brackets (when I finish them) will show the seeding that was ultimately used.
It was completely insane.
It really freaked everyone out there, including me. I remember Lyman watching in disbelief. Every shot was just perfect too, early on the flipper, one after another. Uncanny.
With the next INDISC only a couple weeks away, who doesn’t want to obsess over the past INDISC results? And now you can! Only four short years later, I finally got around to updating the Neverdrains database on my website with lots of new tournaments since the Covid break in 2021!. I also reformatted the landing page to organize the annual tournaments better.
If there are any recent Card or Best-Game tournaments that were hosted by DTM and are missing here, let me know and I’ll try to get them added for the next update.
As always, the challenge of mapping the myriad of variant game names used in the DTM tournaments to standard game names recognized in the IPDB etc. does not get any easier, lol. So take the game pages with their high scores with a large grain of salt.
Also, the last couple of NWPC’s are a royal pain in the ass with their silly double-card results, and I think I’ve got the Main tournament results accurate, but the double-game herb Classics from '23 and double-card Classics from '24 are still sketchy, lol.

cheers,

I’ll also caution people to remember that machine settings vary greatly from event to event. Can you say tight tilts and 2x4s vs. location-friendly? What was a #1 score at one event might not even be top 50 at another. YMMV.
Thanks for the update!
