Seeking an oldschool expert DMD designer

Hi all,
I’ve not posted here in a few years, but was recommended by Martin Ayub of Pinball News (i’m sure many on here know Martin) to try here for my request:

I’m retheming a Shrek into a Beavis & Butthead machine, using Pinball Browser. Here’s a link to my progress thread: My new project: Beavis & Butthead (updated 23rd Nov) | Pinball info

My biggest stumbling block is the DMD - for me, dot matrix displays were and still are the apex of pinball (in my own current collection of 14 games, 13 are DMD and one is a System 11) so i’m gonna need to redo the DMD software from Family Guy or Shrek, and may as well do it in colour at the same time (unless for some reason i don’t understand that’s not feasible). So… i was hoping to track down some of the original gurus of this art, maybe Mark Galvez (FG), Tom Kyzivat, (Shrek and FG), Adam Rhine and Brian Morris (AFM and MB among others), or even the legendary Scott ‘hubby to DoHo’ Slomiany (BSD, Creech, IJ, STTNG, TZ, Shadow etc) …

I know nothing about IT, am happy to do a lot of legwork and am good at learning new skills, but i presume i’ll need access to the basic FG/Shrek framework to start with? Do i need someone’s permission? I don’t plan to pay anyone for the use of B&B a this is a simple fan-boy project where n=1 and it’s just for my own amusement.

I’m not a rich guy (and currently unemployed, so selling machines to pay my mortgage and son’s school fees) but am prepared to pay someone for their expertise and time to help me with this project. Is there anybody out there? It doesn’t have to be someone i just named, i just want someone who knows what they are doing and can either help me to do it all or even do the whole job for me for cash and fun.

Help me Obi-tilt, you’re my only hope!
