Theme:
Embark on a cross-country road trip across the USA, from New York to San Francisco, completing city missions, daily challenges, and multiball modes to help Red & Ted find their legendary Bulldozer and get the ultimate reward.

Rule’s Overview

Objectives:

  • Complete 18 cities : missions, perks and multiballs to unlock the Final Showdown.
  • Trigger daily challenges, Monday to Thursday for awards, and start Friday’s mini wizard mode.
  • Activate Flying Rocks for Outlane ball save, Video mode or Riot multiball.

Layout

The original playfield layout remains unchanged. Please note :

  • “Bob’s Souvenir Bunker” is here called “Bob’s scoop” and no longer can lock a ball for Multiballs, this scoop is dedicated to Mystery and Bob’s Challenges.
  • Orbits are called “loops”. Right loop is between Red and Ted’s heads and left loop is the U-turn lane which feeds the middle left flipper.

Skill Shots

There are 6 different Skill Shots available depending on your plunge and flipper combinations:

  • N°1 - Base Skill Shot (150k): Long plunge to the Bulldozer.
  • N°2 - Super Skill Shot (500k): Short plunge directly into the Start City scoop.
  • N°3 - Combo Skill Shot: Right inlane to left ramp (175k) → Right ramp (Super Skill Shot: 500k, activates diverter to left loop) → Blasting Zone hole (Double Super Skill Shot: 1.5M + Start City).
  • N°4 - Secret Skill Shot #1 (1M): Middle plunge into the pop bumpers, and get the ball into the Blasting Zone hole.
  • N°5 - Secret Skill Shot #2 (200k): Short plunge to trigger the lower skill shot switch without triggering the upper one.
  • N°6 - Mega Skill Shot (4.55M + Start City): Execute N°5, which lights N°3 with 2X skill shot scoring, then complete the full N°3 sequence!

Playfield Features & Multipliers

Blasting Zone Playfield 2X

Hit the 8 specific targets: Left Orange, Left White, Left “Magic” Red, Left Yellow, Red Top Orange, Red Bottom Orange, Center Radio, and Blast Zone.

  • Hint: A 4-way or 5-way combo spots one remaining target.
  • Activation: Once qualified, shoot the Left Loop + Blasting Zone to activate 2X Playfield for 45 seconds.

Combos

Combos are disabled during City modes. Starting a combo requires chaining two ramps:

  • 4-Way Combo: Right Ramp → Left Ramp → Right Ramp (diverter bypass) → Under Blast Zone (via mini-flipper) OR Right Loop.
  • 5-Way Combo: Left Ramp → Right Ramp → Left Ramp (diverter bypass) → Left Loop → Under Blast Zone (via mini-flipper) OR Right Loop.

The Magic Red & Radio Standups

These special targets light once per city mode and grant the following:

  • Magic Red Target: Increases MB (MultiBalls) Jackpot value by +100k (multiplied by cities completed, and max at 1M) OR adds +10s to the Mission timer.
  • Magic Radio Target: Increases MB Jackpot value by +50k (multiplied by cities completed, and max at 500k) OR adds +5s to the Mission timer.

Radio Target Hit Progression (anytime) : Base score is 100k + 250k bonus per shot. Every 5 hits adds a 20% combo booster (up to 500%) and awards :

  • 5 hits: 1M points.
  • 10 hits: 1M + Light OBS.
  • 15 hits: 1M + Add Target.
  • 20 hits: 4M + Add Mission Time (+5s).
  • 25 hits: 4M + Complete a Bob item.
  • 30 hits: 7M + Add Ball Save Time (+3s).
  • 35 hits: 7M + Light Million Plus.
  • 40 hits: 10M + Light Extra Ball.
  • Post-40: Every 5 hits = 10M, every 10 hits = Light OBS.

Bonus X

Earned by completing Bob challenges, finishing cities, or playing the Video Mode. Max is 6X. Reaching the next step lights Extra Ball (once), then awards 500k points. Bonus may be held from ball to ball with the dedicated award.

Special - Outlane Ball Save (OBS)

Lit via miles progression (1,500 then 5,000 miles), Mon/Wed/Thu Bob challenges, Flying Rock OBS award, Mystery and Radio hits (10 and >40). If OBS is already lit, the second one scores points (250k) and allows lane changing with flippers. Subsequent collects 1M points.


Bob’s Challenge of the Day

Bob’s Challenges are special modes running from Monday to Thursday. They run in the background, are untimed, and only require the player to complete the tasks assigned on the display. Progress on challenges is maintained from ball to ball. Once Thursday is finished, Friday’s mini wizard mode is directly started.

  • Qualification: Shoot the Right Loop (once for Monday, twice for other days). Note: If a challenge is running, it can finish during a City mode. If not, wait until the city ends for the Right Loop to light the challenge again.
  • Start: Shoot the Bob Scoop.

Across the U.S.A.

Progressing through the game requires traveling across 7 stages (From East to West). You advance one city every 500 miles. Miles are blocked until you play your currently qualified city.

Miles Chart:

  • Left Loop: 150 miles | Ramps: 100 miles | Right Loop: 75 miles
  • Blast Hole: 75 miles | Start City Scoop: 75 miles | Inlanes: 25 miles
  • Spinner: 5 miles per spin | Pop Bumpers: 5 miles | Standups: 5 miles
  • Bulldozer Blade: 5 miles (+45 on Stage 1, +20 on Stage 2, +5 on Stage 3 to advance faster at journey’s start)

Stages & Cities (2 to 3 cities per stage):

  1. New York, Miami
  2. Ohio, Atlanta, New Orleans
  3. Chicago, Nashville, Dallas
  4. Minnesota, Kansas City, Albuquerque
  5. Butte, Denver
  6. Salt Lake City, Las Vegas
  7. Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles

North Cities (Missions)

North cities are time-based modes.

  • New York: Four main shots are lit (2 ramps, 2 loops). Hitting the Blast Zone between shots adds 5 seconds and relights the remaining shots. The 3rd Blast Zone hit lights Start City to finish the mode, but the 4th shot remains lit to boost your score before cashing out.
  • Ohio: Shoot in order: Right Ramp, Left Ramp, Left Loop, Right Loop. This lights Start City to finish. Chaining shots in combos multiplies their score.
  • Chicago: Flight of Icarus style of non stopping comboing right and left ramps. Chain ramps for massive points. Reaching 10M points threshold lights Start City to finish.
  • Minnesota: One of five shots (2 loops, 2 ramps, Red) lights randomly as a Hurry-Up. Collecting it lights the Bob Scoop. Repeat this sequence (Random Shot → Bob Scoop) three times, then shoot Start City to finish.
  • Butte: Shoot the moving Bulldozer 3 times as its score value increments. Avoid Ted, as hitting him decreases the shot value! Then shoot two ramps, which lights Start City to finish.
  • Salt Lake City: Hit 4 specific targets: Left Yellow, Magic Red, Left White, and one of the Orange targets next to Red. Warning: Hitting Radio or Blast Zone deducts 5 seconds at the timer! Once all 4 targets are hit, shoot Bob Scoop (Hurry-Up shot) and finally Start City to finish.
  • Seattle: Collect the Bob Scoop Hurry-Up at start. The value of this shot score is applied to 4 newly lit shots. Collect them, then shoot Start City to finish.

South Cities (Multiballs)

Multiballs start instantly at the beginning of the mode.

  • Miami (2-Ball): Right ramp raises the Bulldozer. Shoot Ted’s open mouth for the Jackpot. A Double Jackpot is available in Red’s mouth for 3 seconds after every Jackpot before the right ramp’s lit again.
  • New Orleans (3-Ball): Hit a 3-bank target sequence (Radio → Blast Zone → Bulldozer) to raise the Dozer. Shoot Ted’s open mouth for the Jackpot. Double Jackpots activate from round 2 onwards.
  • Dallas (2-Ball): Shoot Right Ramp + Right Loop, then Red’s closed mouth for a Jackpot. Next round, shoot Left Ramp + Left Loop, then Red’s mouth. Jackpot values double on every subsequent round.
  • Albuquerque (3-Ball): Chain scoops: Start City → Bob Scoop. This raises the Dozer and opens Ted’s mouth for 12 seconds, if failed, restart the sequence. Finally, shoot Red’s mouth for the Jackpot.
  • Denver (3-Ball): Shoot Ted’s open mouth while the Dozer moves up and down, then shoot Red’s mouth for a Double Jackpot.
  • Las Vegas (3-Ball): Four Jackpot shots are lit (2 ramps, 2 loops). Collecting them lights Red’s closed mouth for the Super Jackpot. All shots then relight with 2X Jackpot values.
  • Los Angeles (3-Ball): Switch-based progression. Get 10 switches + Bob Scoop. Then 20 switches + Bob Scoop. Then 30 + Bob Scoop (potentially up to 40/50). Finally, collect the Super Jackpot in Red’s closed mouth. The sequence then repeats.

Center Cities (Perks)

Center cities present a quick 10s challenge to get back at Start city scoop, if you succeed you’ll get a carousel where you can select a permanent “Perk” for the rest of your game:

  • Atlanta: +50% Jackpot Value OR Boost Bob’s Challenge day (+50% score).
  • Nashville: Add Mission Timer (+15s) OR Add 2X Playfield Timer (+10s).
  • Kansas City: Add Ball Save Timer (+7s) OR Add-A-Ball Action button (during multiballs).
  • San Francisco: Light Extra Ball OR Boost Combo to Max (500%).

Other Features & Multiballs

Mystery Wheel

Hit the Bulldozer to qualify. First requires 1 hit, then 2, then 3. Lights Bob Scoop for Mystery (Level 1) and opens Red’s mouth for the Mystery Wheel for 3 seconds (Level 2). Awards alternate between levels, level 2 gets best ones. If level 2 at red’s mouth is missed, level 1 at Bob scoop is immediately relit.

  • Level 1: You’re There (Score), Light Special (OBS), Million Plus (Millions stack on right ramp for the rest of the ball), Jets at Max (2X jets scoring), Lunch Time (+100% Combos), Spinner at Max (2X spinners scoring).
  • Level 2: Flying Rocks, Light Big Blast (light immediate 2X Playfield), Hold Bonus, Light ExtraBall, Bob’s Freebie (Starts Bob Challenge or spots an incomplete item), Bad Weather (10M Hurry-up at Bob scoop).

Flying Rocks

Lit via Mystery Wheel, 5-way combo, finishing Wed/Thu challenges, or at the end of a city (completed or not) in Stages 2, 4, and 6.

The awards vary depending on the location of the skill shot with the left plunger :

  • 250k points all the way up / Outlane Ball Save underneath (level 1 always lit)
  • Riot Multiball (7M if Riot MB has already been played) in the middle / Flying Rocks Video Mode all the way down (level , not lit at first)

Video Mode

The Video Mode involves piloting the bulldozer from right to left through the Nevada canyons. Avoid flying rocks, and collecting 10 gold coins will allow you to grab the Extra Ball. Next time, you’ll receive 10 million points instead of the Extra Ball.

Riot - Multiball

4-Ball MB. Features an unlimited 60-second ball save. Ramps and loops score 1M, Radio scores 2M. At the end of the timer, the flippers die, balls drain, and one ball is returned to the plunger to continue your game.

Extra Balls

You can award extra balls at Bob’s scoop when it’s lit by either : award bonus X at 6X, Tuesday’s and Thursday’s Bob challenge award, by shooting the extraball / star icon during Video mode, or either be very lucy at Red’s level 2 Mystery.


Wizard Modes

Bob’s Friday Wizard Challenge

Auto-starts immediately after collecting the Thursday reward.

  • Phase 1: 2-Ball MB. All 9 challenge elements are lit (Jets, Spins, Ramps, Dozers, Red, Loops, Targets, Blast, Radio). The point value of each is indexed on the total number of elements you’ve completed throughout the game.
  • Phase 2: Hit all lit shots once to light a massive Super Jackpot at the Bob Scoop, which also awards an Add-A-Ball.
  • Phase 3+: All shots relight with doubled values, but you must hit them twice to relight the Super Jackpot at the Bob Scoop. This continues (x3 values/3 hits, x4 values/4 hits…).
