PINBURGH PINBURGH PINBURGH! HOLY!!!!!1111oneonetwo

Do you mean for Replay FX? I’d do what has been suggested elsewhere in the thread and use the Contact Us form on the website to ask.

If you mean for Pinburgh, you’d need to add him to the waitlist, if you don’t already have a ticket for him.

Yeah for replayfx only
Thanks. I may just buy him a kids ticket so he has a badge, etc

Has anyone here purchased tickets via the wait list yet?
No players or wait list posted on the page. Am I crazy to think this still can happen, or is it time to give up and cancel reservations? Bowen posted that it might take some time, so I thinking I’ll hang tight for now.

i wouldn’t take any drastic measures until you at least know where you are on the waitlist.

Yesterday, doug posted on pinside that no waitlist invites had gone out yet.

Yep… Basically you have an invisible start gun fired the instant the Showclix server clock rolls over and sales open up… the next 500 or so people to load the site and get tix in their cart are the winners (assuming they buy average of 2 each). A fast connection helps but it’s more about luck whether you hit it at the exact right time. A half-second difference in refresh timing between two buyers could make the difference.

The person with multiple computers has the right idea. Next years’ arms race will be about hitting from as many browsers as possible…

Ticket sales really need to move from rush buy to something better. Rush buy let’s ticket scalpers bots win.

Do we really want people selling access to an ticket bot system just to get to this?

hitting from as many browsers as possible. Need more then 1 ISP / ISP account as well.

But Pinburgh tickets are not transferable.

There is that but do really want people selling bot slots to get tickets under there name?

And what happens with duped tickets if say people start getting CC chnage backs?

The ticket site was very slow / error out and after the sale I got billed for 2 tickets with the same name and they will not give me an full refund for the 2th ticket.

People start going I want to play Pinburgh so bad and I don’t give a dam if my bot’s buy 5 tickets under my name and I can’t get refunds for 4 tickets that I don’t need.

This isn’t the organizers first rodeo. I think you need to give them and the process a bit more respect. If you or your computer fouled up, work behind the scenes to get the second charge cleared up. It sounds like you got a ticket and going to Pinburgh so congrats! All the bot hyperbole isn’t needed imo.

This is also one of the reasons they no longer give full refunds on tickets.

Not going just talking about the ticket buying BS and why rush buy is bad.

Also the same ticket selling platform messed up burning man tickets big time last year.

I am going with my dad and had a flawless experience purchasing our tickets.

and what happens if they some get’s there bank or CC to stop payment on an duped ticket?

There are reasons why airlines where forced to give 24 hours for full refund in most cases.

The refund policy is known prior to purchase. If one doesn’t like it they simply do not have to purchase a ticket. They can also email the organizers at anytime and provide feedback regarding this policy.

Burning Man is a massive commercial event with like 70,000 attendees, I don’t see it as comparable to a 1000 entry pinball tournament. This service seems to work fine.

Everyone who got tickets mostly thinks the system is fine. everyone who didn’t, doesn’t.

Yeah, especially with sites being delivered over Content Delivery Networks nowadays it is much more complicated than just a simple ping time.

The Cloudflare PoP serving www.showclix.com is 1ms away from me here in Finland. Refreshing the site on the second when tickets went on sale, it took around 10 seconds for me to get a refreshed page. I already lost all hope while waiting, but for some miraculous reason the refreshed page showed tickets being available and I was able to grab those for me and two of my friends.

Congratulations to everyone at ReplayFX crew for yet another instant-sellout Pinburgh. Thank you in advance for all the massive efforts for making this madness possible!

I’ve gotten tickets every year, and I hate the rush system.

This year I broke down and joined a buying pool. Only one of us (me) successfully got past the rush and bought tickets for the group. I feel dirty doing it, but when the alternative is a greater chance of missing out, you do what you have to do.
