The tickets weren’t autoloaded for me like I believe they were last year at 12 so I hit refresh and it took 5 seconds to load the page but I secured my spot!
I couldn’t have clicked any faster and I didn’t get in. Oh well
Yep, approximately 3 seconds after they went on sale I was already getting a message that they were sold out. Guess I’m not attending my first Pinburgh in 2020.
It may or may not free up tickets in 10 or 15 minutes when carts expire. I’m the former director of sales for Brown Paper Tickets, and that’s a common industry practice. Basically whenever the SQL mule kicks, expired carts go back in the hopper.
Tickets showed up again at 12:15 but I wasn’t able to get that either. ggs
I did a bulk buy for a few of us Brits. In the panic to get all five of us keyed in I somehow duplicated one of the players and missed my own name out! Have sent an email to showclix to correct the name. Hoping the reservation doesn’t get zapped because of the duplicate name
Use the contact us form on the FX site and tell them that, too
For folks who are saying it was already sold out by the time you refreshed, you should check your computer time.
Will tell you if your computer clock is off at all. Unfortunately late at this point but for next year…
If you get on the waitlist at 1PM ET, you should have a good chance.
I got showclix’d…
Right at the top of the hour I went to refresh and it randomly sent me to the showclix home page instead of refreshing the competition ticket page.
This also happened two or three more times randomly in my refreshes as I refreshed trying to get a ticket after 0 hour.
I did see tickets open up at least 7 more times after the initial batch… but could never complete the steps before it denied me.
The full page of tickets really was a pita because you had to scroll and find the get ticket button.
Even on my iPad I could not see both options on the same page… a real hindrance
My computer clock is exactly right (I checked), but when I refreshed just after my clock ticked over to 12:00:00 the ticket options hadn’t appeared yet. I think that their server’s clock must be slightly slow, which hopefully won’t cause ambiguity for people about to pile on the waitlist. (I’ve got my ticket.)

"Congratulations to those competitors that have advanced through Round Zero of the 2020 Pinburgh Championships today.
Round 0.5 (The Wait List) begins at 1 PM Eastern. Don’t jump the gun."
Thanks, took your advice and Mark sorted it instantly. Stunning customer service, and massively appreciated
For next year, they should get rid of all the other ticket options until Pinburgh is sold out. Thought the scroll down list would never end!
Waitlist form is borked for me.
“Invalid submission, please enable Javascript or cookies and try again” over and over.
Good luck, everyone.
Steve do you have an ad blocker up? I had to disable mine for that form to work.
That did the trick. I’m sure it’s too late, but I do appreciate the help.
Come on Waitlist!!
did anyone get an email confirmation on the waitlist? Are you supposed to? I clicked right at 1pm and didn’t get one, I am worried I clicked too early?
Disregard I got an email it was 20 minutes later though
