Some of you may know me from Pinball competitions in Europe over the past 20 years.
I have written a book charting my arcade experiences throughout my life, a sort of autobiography but purely arcade related, including amonsgt others:
- my first arcade encounters in the mid 70s at the fairground
- the golden age of video games in the early 80s
- getting hooked on fruit mahcines in the mid 80s
- the explosion of pinball in the pubs in the early 90s
- collecting machines from the early 90s onwards
- attempting video game world record scores
- attending and competing in pinball comps UK and Europe
- running the UK pinball league
- UK video arcade meets
- arcade arts and crafts I’ve created
Walter has very kindly written the Foreword.
The book is 480 pages, appox 23 x 15 cm in size (like a large paperback), with some photos, mainly from last 15-20 years. Cost is £25.
I’ve attached some sample pages; best guide is the contents page.
Postage in UK is £3.50. To US is £13 not tracked (at your risk) or £26 tracked. To Europe is £13 tracked.
I’ve also created a link where you can buy my book in the US without having to pay shipping costs from the UK. Price is $US35 before any shipping and sales tax. I’m afraid this is the lowest I can charge to cover costs from the sale using this method.
Hope some of you might be interested in reading about my arcade journey.
