Of course. But one can’t pivot when one doesn’t know what to pivot to or doesn’t understand why something isn’t working, hence the desire to do a little bit of learning ahead of time to be prepared.
I’ve even suggested in the past having code versions posted with the machines, since we all know how radically that can dictate strategies when things are iterating quickly, but I don’t realistically expect that to ever happen. Generally I just assume “latest” when it comes to code.
I guess preparation is kind of a two-part problem. You can learn everything you can about a particular title, but you can’t learn anything about a specific instance of that title. That’s where the adjustments start happening.
