Haven’t listened to the latest episode, but have to say this is becoming one of my favourite podcasts. Hosts have great personalities, and pretty solid quality throughout. If I was nitpicking (I am) I personally find any podcast over an hour is difficult to listen to in a single session at home, but at the same time - the long ones are great for pinball roadtrips!
To pose an alternate line of thinking regarding episode time, I love the long ones. Being a desk jockey, it’s often a struggle to find things to fill my headphones for nearly 40 hours a week.
I love the long Podcasts as well, I listen in twenty minute chunks on my commute and really enjoy them. I will say in regards to the comments about Pinside Forums environment which seem to be in every episode, it is no worse than any other collectable community. Nintendo introduced a new video game system yesterday and there are already almost 7,000 posts on NeoGaf with the majority of them negative based off a three minute teaser trailer for a product launching five months. Don’t even look at the Blowout Cards forum when Topps previews its new baseball sets, yikes. It is just the collector community, they are all toxic to a certain degree but every one has good posts and people as well.

Listened to a bit of the latest podcast this morning (thumbs up, love it).
In the podcast there was some talk about Stern adding another bunch of LE machines… but I think its probably some confusion. I expect what you’re talking about is the coffee table book:
I certainly agree with the point though. Increasing the number of LE editions of something after it sells out is a bit of an … ‘ethically questionable’ move.
Something to think about: I believe people will play the more random classics game in this format because they don’t need to keep a steady ship anymore. They only need 4 scores.
