I’ll get the actual averages from the TD. Yes, I went with the goals as they are listed in the OP.
It took a 3.5 average to make the finals. Not sure how many people made finals, but it likely means that the average for all players was a lot higher…4.5? That’s a lot of 5s and 6s.
I’d really make sure that the people in the bottom half had a good time. The goal of a pingolf tourney involving casual players, in my opinion, should not be to cater the difficulty to the top players.

Post-event buzz in the Facebook group is all positive. I’m sure letting everybody hang out an extra 4 hours after and throwing in pizza and drinks helped. But for comments on the actual play, people are still positive. Haven’t heard anybody upset by the difficulty yet.
