At least the clock is working properly now. We’re no longer in the future.
This thread made me wonder how long I’ve been talking about pinball online. Made my first post on RGP in 1997 after lurking for years. I remember because I misspelled Safe Cracker in the subject line.
Seems like some of the handles here go back to RGP. Anybody remember having to munge your email address so that harvesters wouldn’t steal it from Usenet?

This. It’s negligent and dangerous to ask people to enter a password into a website that doesn’t even use SSL. This means everyone’s tiltforums user name and password are transmitted across the internet in clear text, unencrypted.
implementing https is free and trivial.
this is still my go-to place for learning rules of new games.

Well, to nitpick, I have a password for my email where I send the magic link when I need to login. 
I feel like in order for the statement “i’ve never used a password to login to this forum” to be true, you must be operating on a definition of the word “never” that I am unfamiliar with.

I definitely slowed down posting on here after my work decided the website wasn’t suitable - I’ve figured out a way to get round that now.
To echo others, it’s much easier to have a reasoned nuanced debate on a forum such as this as opposed to Discord, which is why I’ve refused to sign up to it.
