It has to drain to get credit for it now. I assume anti-skill means you drained so makes sense.
There is also a âDouble Mega Secret Skill Shotâ - where you hit the biplane ramp instead of the u-turn (Iâd suggest renaming âupper loopâ â u-turn also as I believe that is what it is known as).
I have had this too, my thought was the ball needs to go first through the left out-lane (which happens to be in the middle :P) be saved and then you need to hit the gong off that shot.
Does anyone have any idea what it takes to kill the two t-rexâs? it would be good to have some kind of indication of their health or progress to vanquishing them.

None, I think this method of lighting island jackpot is set to be replaced.
Performing Double Mega Secret Skill Shot or triple Mega Secret Skill Shot will award two kong letters. But once you hit one, the other doesnât reward any more.
Havenât seen this anywhere yet, but I just got an Ultra Secret Skill Shot for hitting the River from the right upper flipper after the Mega Secret Skill Shot
should major bugs be in the rule sheet? as they will get fixed in updates.
RIGHT NOW players 2 and 4 can get dead eye lit at game start based progress from past games.
Rebooting does clear out this carried over progress.
I suspect it will be fixed in the next update. Hopefully we wonât have to wait long. Word got around quick in my area, so hasnât caused any problems yet. Was used in two events without issue.
The 5.0 Wheel of Fortune code Stern has on their site still has the trip jackpot bug. Trip jackpot values increase and donât reset unless you cycle power. That bug is named at the top of the rulesheet here, as it should be.
and that is the last update other then the 6.02 (unreleased)
Thereâs a second 6.xx version, but I donât recall the digits after the period. Stern made one, Keith Johnson did the other. I want to say both corrected the trip jackpot bug, but itâs been forever, donât recall the details of both.
Why are the King Kong multiball rules changed? I prefer the old jackpot rules.

I donât know if itâs been reported on here or not, but I found a bug in a two player game regarding the bi planes.
First player starts with the spotted normal amount. The second player does not get their biplane ramp shots to count until they climb to the next level on the building. Confirmed it with glass off, this only seems to be an issue in a multiplayer game.
play as one player or try an reboot. Till next update.
First reboot it didnât change anything, I did it again and it seems to be workingâŚâŚspoke too soon. Not working again. Just waiting for an update now.
The patch notes for new version v0.90 report this as fixed.
Awesome! These were the two big ones in multiplayer games that were broken.
- Biplane Attack - Fixed a multiplayer issue where Biplane Attack qualifying would not work sometimes for players 2-4.
- Deadeye - Fixed a multiplayer issue where Deadeye could be lit for player 2-4 in a non-Co-Op game.
For anyone looking to use Kong in tourneys and not have it hold up the scheduleâŚ
Kong tourney setup recommendation: we found that the following worked really well to create a difficult but fair Kong setup that we used in a Best-Game extended weekend format:
- 7-ish pitch
- lightning flippers, just slightly flopped/drooped
- removed both the left and right outlane posts entirely
- removed the right inlane guide post rubber
- Tight tilt (with ear plug mod), with debounce reduced to 500 ms.
- Comp Install + Novelty Install
- 3-second initial ball-save
- leave Kong MB at default
- Pit MB one level harder
- Skill Fire mode lit at 6 Kong letters
- Multiball ball-saves reduced in half or 10 seconds, whichever is greater
- Max log use of 2 that you can bank
- Mini-flipper max hold of 3 seconds
The lightning flippers slightly flopped is the key ingredient. Can still make all the shots. But itâs MUCH more difficult to cradle all those feeds going back to a flipper. And this combo still allowed for a backhand to the Gong from a cradle, but it was a narrow window between clipping the corner of the sling and being too late (hitting the target to the left of the Gong)
