You do not need to have the auto extra ball on. You can always limit the number of extra balls per game or set it to a fixed extra ball

I think I generally prioritize catapult, TKK and retro multiballs over the monster modes, so maybe thatās why I feel like my game scores are nerfed a bit. Looking forward to trying to refine the monster mode play a bit and see if that helps.
Yes, but the points are (in some cases) drastically less than before. This also has to be done before the last KNIGHT letter is obtained, as the VUK instantly lights for Retro start and therefore blocks Super leveling.
Mode final scores are in most cases more than double for similar amounts of effort compared to the previous update - between doubling the base, adding ways to boost values, and making the modes āharderā on default settings (more shots!), expect to see most modes score 30m+ without Power.
In competition mode, is it random which Super Feature you get?

IMHO a good change. I stopped playing BKSOR mainly because of crazy exploitable rules. On a pro at Chicago Expo, I somehow went from ~80M to 500M in about 10 seconds after starting Retro. While that was entertaining, I generally dislike games where there is basically one āthingā to get tons of points and the rest of the game is irrelevant. Looking forward to trying the new rules. Looks like monsters are the way forward now?
Monsters, especially with Power. Also, WAR collections and Supers, especially when worked into a Multiball.
Multiball is a powerful way to start Supers, and then follow up with 3 VUK shots to boost them all.
Also, in old code that would have qualified Ransom. Another score loss
10 letters still qualifies it, Iām quite sure. I just drained the ball lol
Also, I swear in my multiballs the drop target is up all the time, so I canāt get it into the left VUK to boost the supers.
Maybe thatās our location setup then - our is set up to no letters and Iām not sure if thatās a newer default or a hold over from States.
So to be sure Iām understanding, you can START Supers in multiball, but you cannot advance their levels?
Yes. You can start Level 1 Supers at any point, but you canāt advance their levels in Multiball play.

So⦠is it possible during KNIGHT Multiball to get two balls on the right flipper, flip one up so that it hits the drop targets, then use the Magna-Save to collect your multiplied Super Jackpot? Or is the Super Jackpot no longer multiplied during this mode?
I feel it is still multipliedā¦but you cannot advance Super Levels that were not already established before Retro⦠iāve managed a 92 million collect with two balls left in Retro. Not as crazy as the 200m+ I used to be able to get in Retro
I havenāt played BKSOR since june, or so. I really like the game though. Gotta love them multiballs!
However, I felt it was a bit too āshallowā to play in the long run, for me. But two wizard modes has been added/improved since june, right: The Kingās Ransom and Black Castle & RAGE Multiball?
By releasing the games without these Wizard Modes etc. the operator lose, at least, one customer: me. I guess there wonāt be any significant effect on the revenue though⦠But I will go back and play this again. If the machines have the new ROMs installed.
I played this today. Plenty of new ā¦stuff⦠(I havenāt played it since june). The modes were awarding a lot more points now. They used to be something I just played to get KNIGHT-letters, more or less. Unless I stacked them with the Triple Knights Multiball. Also, I really like the new music in the game. The old music was not my cup of tea (to say the least).
Unfortunately I couldnāt play for long. I had to leave in the middle of a game. But I will be back! I really like this game.
No new strategy discoveries today⦠but one thing i do in BKSOR is to always light the Ball Save/Kickback at the start of Ball 1. Potentially you get an āExtra Ballā within the first few seconds of the game.
How does lighting the ball save potentially light extra ball right away? Quickest way Iāve found in old and new code is to beat one monster. Unless you mean itās just a ball save insurance.
Overall, Iāve played many many games on the new code and get nowhere even close to my old high scores. Iād regularly score 300-400M on a good game. Now on a game where Iām grinding and that goes on for 15-20 minutes, I get maybe 120-140M. Iām talking two extra ball, 3-4 catapult MBs, two TK MBs, Knight retro MB and 3-4 monsters. It seems absurdly low. My grand champion is around 540M and itās laughable that I could even approach that now.
I think by āExtra Ballā heās just referring to the ball save itself, saving you from what would have been a drain.

140M seems absurdly low, yes. Thatās what I had after ~two modes and one (poor) Triple Knights multiball. I did not get any good KNIGHT-multiball since the game wouldnāt award me that super spinner. I did not have time to play this properly today. I think Iām going back tomorrow to, hopefully, break a billion. Never did that on the old ROMs.
