The time is once again upon us to ask you - the lovely, talented, exceedingly gracious pinball playing public - for your help in making the 2022 New York City Pinball Championship run smoothly and efficiently!
As in years past, we are offering tournament credit in exchange for your help making the tournament a raging success. Interested? Read on!
We are offering several types of shifts this year:
· Front of House (FOH) - shifts. These are 4-hour shifts, and your primary responsibility will be interacting with the public and your fellow tournament players to assist them, sell them entries or merchandise, and generally keep everything moving. You will be accompanied by our Resource Director, Nancy Chandross, during your shift. If you are a people person, this is the gig for you!
· Scorekeeping – Scorekeepers will undertake 2.5 hour shifts. This is an on-the-move job, as you’ll be interacting with the frenzied, pumping and dumping masses, recording scores, and bearing witness to the agony and the ecstasy of uplifting booms and crushing beefs!
· Tournament Setup & Breakdown - These are 4-hour shifts, where you will have the chance to help us prepare for the show, and tear it all down when it’s over. Have a knack for running cable, or setting up chairs? Do you LOVE hanging signs, or just hanging out at the loading dock? These might be the shifts for you!
ALL available shifts can be signed up for by following THIS LINK, and completing the Google Form. You can sign up for as many shifts as you like, but please use discretion and only sign up for the shifts that you are committed to working.
Besides being rewarding and being recognized as an NYCPC Hero, all shifts will confer $30 in tournament credit, which can be used for entries into any division which you’re allowed to play in.
