Lists of games used in SCS

Dennis Kriesel has been chatting with myself about the selections of games picked for the NACS. I was curious if there is any data out there that would show the most common tournament games to be played when the stakes are high. If you played in, or were a Tournament, director, post your state’s SCS tournament bank here so Dennis can write an article about them. Please specify pro, premium, L.E , CE, or Standard, when necessary to get the most informative list possible.

Thanks to anyone that takes the time to help!

Cool project! Heard about it on the TWIP Podcast today (“Polynomials Don’t Lie!”)

I think the other thing that would potentially be interesting would be any notes on specific software or physical changes that TDs made in anticipation for the event.

Hi, I played in the Massachusetts State finals.

The list of games used were:

Guardians of the Galaxy (Pro)
South Park
Evel Kneivel
Avatar (Pro)

I didn’t play but I was at the venue watching, I believe CA was:

F-14 Tomcat
Stargazer (INDISC version ROM/settings: 2 zodiac sets for extra balls)
NBA Fastbreak
Jackbot
Stern Jurassic Park (Pro, I think)
Hoops (2 ball initial mball settings, no lane change)
Viking
Paragon
Sopranos (auto plunger, some other changes…this was INDISC ROM/settings…thanks jmg!)
Alice Cooper’s Nightmare Castle
Joker Poker
Iron Man

I might be missing 1-2, someone please correct me if I am.

Sopranos is the only one missing.

Sopranos is the only one missing.

Edited, thanks Jared

Here are some specifics to add to this list.

All games were set to 5 second ball saves. All games were set to Tournament mode where applicable.

Stars - Center post and rubber remained on the game
AFM was an original
Iron Maiden was a pro. Drops and Eddie letters were set to hard. All ball saves for all MB’s were set somewhere between 7-10 seconds
Aerosmith was a premium. Post between pops removed. Toybox disabled.
Demo Man - Running Sorens custom ROM
Eight Ball - had a powerball
Conquest (EM) - had a powerball

Most games were setup with moderate tilts, a couple had a little tighter tilts, but nothing razor sharp. All EM’s were set to 5-ball.

Interested to hear these settings. Did it fix the tilt bug?

I just wanted to call out that Night Moves was picked during the Championship by the person who eventually won (Lou). Game choices for Finals in DE were AFM - IronMaiden - Aerosmith - NIGHT MOVES - Fish Tales

Thanks Glenn. This has already generated some new SCS listings.

So everyone knows what I have, I’m pasting my current SCS entities below. I’m keying them all in Excel; I’d share the table if this forum will play nice with it easily (my raw paste looked like garbage and I think the main thing is to get the states listed so you don’t feel obligated to duplicate).

Who I have:
Alabama
California
Colorado
Connecticut
D.C.
Delaware
Illinois
Kansas
Kentucky
Maine
Massachusetts
New Brunswick
New Mexico
Oregon
Quebec
South Carolina
Tennessee
