Jurassic Park Home Rulesheet

Jurassic Park Pin aka Jurassic Park Home Edition aka Jurassic Park Home Edition Plus is a pinball machine manufactured by Stern that debuted in October 2021. A follow up ‘+’ edition was introduced in
August 2024 with some minor improvements to the design including integration of Insider Connected, a metal lockdown bar, cosmetic coin door, standard start button, and plywood playfield (from MDF). It is the first design led by Jack Danger.

The game features a standard size playfield but smaller/repositioned backbox, smaller LCD screen, a single speaker, and other changes to reduce weight and cost of the machine compared to major Stern releases. Some other differences include simultaneous firing pops and slings due to a single node board, exclusive use of 5020 coils across the machine (including flippers), a new plastic shooter rod mount, playfield secured with 7/16 bolt, lack of 48V interlock with addition of divider, lack of coin accept mechs and othersXX

Modes of Play:

Only standard play mode up to 4 players is possible.

Basics:

  • John Hammon and the first visitors to Jurassic Park have evacuated. But there is still chaos in the Park as Nedry screwed up the park systems, dinosaurs are running amok, and the volcano on the island is about to erupt! The player must rescue all remaining staff, evacuate the escaped dinosaurs, rescue all remaining stuff, restore power to the park, and escape the island before being engulfed by a Volcano!
  • Capture dinosaurs by repeatedly shooting their respective shots
  • Rescue workers by shooting lit shots
  • Start T-Rex multiball by locking 3 balls in T-Rex
  • Start Raptor tri-ball with repeated shots to the raptor pin
  • Evacuate 5 dinosaurs to start Escape from Nublar
  • Rescue 25 workers to start Restore Power
  • One Extra Ball can be collected in this game by evacuating 2 dinosaurs and then claiming it at the top raptor target

Skill Shots:

Skill Shot: Plunge to center top lane for 10,000 points
Deadflip Skill Shot: Hold right flipper, full plunge, deadbounce into raptor pin for XX points
Secret Skill Shot: Hold the left flipper, full plunge, and immediately hit right ramp for XX points

Paddocks and Dinosaur Evacuation:

Each major shot and the captive ball corresponds to a dinosaur paddock and subsequent evac. 3 shots will enter the paddock and 6 more shots will evac the dinosaur (except Spinosaurus at captive ball, see below). It is possible, and advantageous (see smart missile) to be ‘in’ 5 paddocks at once.

Scoring: The initial 3 shots to enter a paddock score marginal points. Once a paddock is entered and the shot lit each of the 6 shots scores 50,000 points with a bonus of 200,000 for capturing the dinosaur. Can be increased by smart missile (see below).

Evacuate the 5 dinosaurs (Spino not required) to light Escape Nublar at the T-rex

Spinosaurus: Shooting the captive ball (causing a hit to the pop bumper behind) 10 times will start a hurry up at the captive ball starting at 190,000 points. This can be increased at either spinner by 7,500 per spin for 15 seconds. This timer does not stop for anything. Shoot the captive ball again to collect and capture the dinosaur.

Smart Missile:

Overall points from dinosaur evacuations can be massively increased with smart missiles. Light a smart missile with 5 hits to the target and then launch it with a 6th shot. Ricochets off the pop bumper count. If no paddock is entered/lit, smart missile will light one.

If 1 or more shots are lit for evac - every time a smart missle is launched 25,000 points is added to each remaining shot for all currently lit paddocks. There is no limit.

Big scores can come from entering multiple paddocks, lauching smart missiles, and then going for evacuations. There are 30 total shots needed to evacuate all 5 dinosaurs, so each smart missile could be worth up to 750,000 points.

A stack of all paddocks lits, 10+ missiles launched, multiball started, and double scoring will result in millions of points!

Smart missile bonuses carry over even if you drain.

Rescues:

The game starts with 2 shots lit for rescue. After both workers are rescued another shot will light. Workers can be added by completing ‘control room’ on the left by shooting the target 3 times. Each rescue is worth 10,000 points with no way to increase other than double playfield scoring.

Multiballs:

T-rex Multiball:

Raptor Tri-Ball:

Other Modes & Features:

Dilophosaurus Spinners:

Both spinners on the game start out scoring 500 points per spin. After 20 spins (n) a 25,000 bonus is awarded and spin scoring increases by 150 - 650. Every n+5 (25, 30, 35 etc) spins thereafter 25,000 more points are awared and spin scoring is further increased by 150.

Pop Scoring:

Amber Bonus:

2x Scoring:

2x Scoring for 30 seconds starts when the top lanes are completed - 1 times to start and then every 2 times thereafter. Top lanes are controller with flippers. Time pauses if you drain during ballsave but not in pops and ends if you drain.

Supply Drop

Supply drop offers

End-of-Ball Bonus:

Bonus is based on your performance cumulatively throughout the game, and not just that ball.

Add up the following:

Then multiply by Bonus X, if applicable, earned from completing inlane/outlanes. This is indicated by the 2x, 3x, and 5x inserts on the playfield.

Escape Nublar (Wizard Mode):

After 5 dinos are evactuated at the 5 major shots, Ecape Nublar lights at the T-rex. Enter the T-rex to start. The volcano is erupting, its time to rescue the last few workers and get off Nublar! This mini wizard mode starts as a 4 ball multiball. Shoot XX number of arrows to light escape at the T-rex. Flashing shots indicated the correct way and increase scoring. Solidly lit shots are the wrong way and end your streak. Rescuing workers does not end the streak.

All scoring in the wizard mode is multiplied by the number of balls in play after the final shot to the T-rex.

Restore Power (Wizard Mode):

Rescue 25 workers to light restore power at the T-Rex. Restore power is a single ball 120 second mode with unlimited ball save. All shots and features are lit and must be hit a few times to restore power to the park! A time bonus is added once power is fully restored to each feature. Power slowly drains from each area, so it is best to go for a single shot/feature before moving on to the next. It is difficult to fully restore power.
