#2

I assume Group #1 seed above suffered from a bad copy/paste? It should be seed 1/32/33/64 or something?

#3

It’s based on year-end rankings, not current.

#4

Right, but in the list above, it’s showing group 1 as seeds 1 vs 2 vs 3 vs 4, which clearly isn’t correct. Possible that the Discourse software inappropriately auto-listified it.

#5

Yeah its weird. If I go to edit the post it shows that group as 1-32-33-64 to me.

#6

I’m curious to see Johannes play. He’s been soaring up the ranks lately.

#7

In Group #3, BJ Wilson is older than the combined age of the two reigning world champions in that group, lol.

#8

Reminds me of that NW final with me, Zac, Joshua and Escher [> sum of all 3].

#9

He is impressive. Old head on young shoulders, very calm. Will be interesting to see how he copes with the round upon round slog. My prediction is he goes deep

#10

I believe it’s because Markdown formatting converts a line starting with “1.” to an HTML ordered-list. That’s also why you can’t select the actual numbers.

#11

I hacked the formatting into semi-submission.

#12

I’m with you here, I wouldn’t be surprised if he will still playing on Sunday in the top 8 (and just for the record, most of his flipper skills he learned in his “early years” from the swiss players (especially Robert Sutter and very, very little from me).

yt from his last victory a week ago

I did some stats about previous IFPA’s and with that comes another prediction: how many players from each country will make the cut (based on the percentage from the last 10 IFPA’s; YOO and PAL played IFPA’s only as Swedes, myself 6 for Switzerland and 2 for Thailand)
USA 31 x 0.60=18.6
SWE 5 x 0.52=2.62
GER 3 x 0.49=1.47
CAN 3 x 0.44=1.33
DAN 2 x 0.42=0.83
FIN 2 x 0.4=0.8
ESP 2 x 0.38=0.77
AUS 2 x 0.33=0.67
JAP 2 x 0.3=0.6
BEL 2 x 0.25=0.5
UK 2 x 0.04=0.09
NZ 2 x 0=0
BRA 1 x 0=0
SUI 1 x 0.5=0.5
ITA 1 x 0.61=0.61
FRA 1 x 0.61=0.61
AUT 1 x 0.62=0.62
NED 1 x 0.9=0.9

success rates from other countries:
HUN 0.6
THA 0.5
POL 0.1
NOR 0

#13

He’s been on a fair amount of recent streams from JDL Pinball (German streamer). Very good skill from what the finals I watched of a German event.

is the IFPA cut off list still accurate? https://www.ifpapinball.com/world_championships/registration/

@PinballProfile is getting closer!

#17

It is now

Hopefully there will be live streaming? If someone could post a link or even indicate youtube or twitch that would be great! Broadcast times would be great too.

@ZRW made it in as well apparently so @pinwizj is behind
