Buffalo Pinball Summer Open - A PAPA Circuit Event!

Steve was great on mic, was glad to have his game knowledge at the ready. I’ve got the videos uploading to YouTube now and will piece them back together from the few Internet outages we had that broke them up. Will post here when they’re ready.

wanna throw some kudos to the Buffalo Pinball crew and volunteers and techs - this tournament ran really well and I had a great time. Venue was nice and the food trucks were great - tried some new local cuisine and the beer brewed just for the event was a plus too! Can’t wait to check out some of the footage - thanks so much for a great tournament!

Oh and @stevevt thanks for the tips on how to play Mustang - didn’t work out for me in finals but I felt good that I was doing (er, trying to do) the right things

I have no experience in this area, so pardon my ignorance if this is a silly question: Is it possible to upload the video to YouTube that includes the chat replay as part of the video?

Thanks, Colin. Great compliment coming from you. I’ve always appreciated the work you’ve done behind the mic.

No problem, Gene. It was really cool seeing you apply my feedback each time you went back up to the machine.

In case anyone’s interested, here’s the Bro Do You Even Pinball episode I recorded Thursday night on this very Mustang (though it was set up with much less incline), in which I recorded a general tutorial and walk-through and then played each of the Bro crew members one-on-one.

The best Mustang tutorial that I’ve seen is the one @FunWithBonus recorded for Pinball with the Pros:

Unless you put the chat room on the video itself somewhere, there’s no way to preserve the chat on YouTube. If you re-watch the video on demand versions on Twitch, though, it’ll still have the chat. Check it out on our Twitch profile page: https://www.twitch.tv/buffalopinball/profile

I typically make highlights of all our videos so they stick around on Twitch with the chat for people to watch later, but I have gotten feedback that quite a few people like the YouTube option for watching the replays.

Hats off to the Buffalo crew. This was some of the most extensive coverage I’ve seen of a PAPA circuit event. Also pretty high quality stream and doing it all with only three cameras was no small feat. You guys should be proud!

Just added it up and we did 17 hours of coverage on Twitch(!) Playoffs was so long that I have to split the video in half for YouTube: maximum length is 6 hours and playoffs were 9.

Glad you enjoyed it, I’m really happy with how it came out. Hopefully we can do it again next year.

links?

Tilt Forums ate them :frowning:

Maybe I can just link right to our channel? http://www.youtube.com/buffalopinball

The forums seem to be trying to embed the videos and it’s not working.

Feel free to subscribe while you’re there!

EDIT: I worked around it by linking the text instead of having the links displayed. Success!

Listened to slam tilt podcast summary of the event. Glad to hear confirmation that @shep was correct about the tilt on future spa. My universe makes more sense now.
